Texecom had over 5,000 pages of technical literature still in paper form, far more than even the most skilled workman could be expected to retrieve or recall. There had to be a more fit-for-purpose way of keeping alarm fitters in the know, on the move.

The Solution

An app that would sit on installers’ own mobile handsets to offer a completely portable, constantly updatable point of access for information from the company.

The Execution

‘Texecom Pro’ – delivering news, vital comms and chat functionality to their fingertips. Also hosted existing literature that had been converted into mobile-friendly e-manuals in up to seven languages, capable of supporting images, diagrams, instructional videos, frequently asked questions and troubleshooting ideas.

The Results

– 12,000 downloads in the first 12 months.
– Saved £1.3m in print costs in year one alone.
