Blue Chip are delighted to announce a fresh addition to the trophy cabinet, as O2 The Source wins ‘Best Unified Comms Application.’
Freshly awarded by Mobile News at their coveted 2018 event (where the mobile, digital, and marketing ecosystems come together to celebrate industry progress), our innovative mobile app created for O2 has been crowned best-in-class for its effective engagement of front-line Dixons Carphone retail staff.
Back in 2016 O2 tasked us with finding a new way of educating and influencing sales staff at its biggest indirect retailer.
We created The Source, an app that transformed O2’s communications with young, tech-savvy sales staff and delivers on the time sensitive needs of such an audience by utilising real-time push messaging, news articles, video content, Whatsapp & Workplace by Facebook sharing and more.
The whole thing is housed within a sleek, easy-to-navigate mobile app that offers live information to store advisors’ personal handsets.
“The effective integration of communication channels really made us stand out for this award,’ says James Mellor, Account Director at Blue Chip.
He continues: ‘The Source offers a truly unique approach to B2B comms when you consider that most operational updates within the retail environment are still transmitted verbally through the chain of command. Through the app, O2 and Blue Chip have successfully invested in the direct engagement of store staff through multiple channels to maximise information cut-through – and we also help store advisors enjoy themselves along the way!”
The accolade highlights our mounting expertise in the development of mobile apps and innovative full-service content strategies for our clients, and we’re thrilled that the collaboration has recognised O2 at the pinnacle of the mobile community!
