With Christmas just around the corner, the O2 account team at Blue Chip have been working on something very special.
Off the back of a brief from the Pay Monthly and Pay As You Go teams at O2 we were presented with a challenge of how to provide real added value for all new O2 customers this Christmas.
Working alongside Popcorn Pass, a UK-first, members-only cinema discount partner, Blue Chip were able to negotiate a best-in-market proposition – a FREE Friends and Family Cinema Pass offering up to up to 40% off ticket prices at over 200 cinemas nationwide.
“We wanted to deliver something to enable O2 to stand out above the other networks during the hugely competitive Christmas trading period,” says Account Manager Niall Carroll. “Working closely with the team at Popcorn Pass, we were able to develop a proposition that offers customers brilliant added value on purchases.”
The pass is available to new O2 customers across Handsets, SIM-only contracts and Pay Monthly contracts, and will see the biggest through-the-line support ever for a Blue Chip campaign.
“We’ve worked hard all year on delivering promotions that offer a point of difference in the cluttered Telco market place,” says Account Director James Mellor. “To see this promotion get such widespread media support is hugely gratifying, and testimony to how well received it has been across the O2 business.”
Anyone getting a free Friends & Family Cinema Pass is invited to download the exclusive Popcorn Pass app to their phone, where they can search for local discounts and buy tickets for a cinema of their choice.
The campaign is live from the 9th November until the 4th January, and passes are valid for up to 2 years, with absolutely no limits on how many tickets pass holders can buy during the promotional period.
