Blue Chip Scoop FIVE Gongs at the 2018 IPM Awards

It was just as well that Blue Chip veterans Sal Thomas and Kate Bermingham went armed with a strong shopping bag to this year’s IPM Awards, they had to pick up FIVE gongs on behalf of the agency.

The IPM Awards celebrates the best in the world of promotional marketing, with the annual gala taking place in central London.

As former promotional-marketer-turned-comedian Russel Kane took to the stage, it was clear it was going to be a great night, but little could we have anticipated how good!

As the evening wore on the smiles just kept on coming, with trophies being won for a hat trick of campaigns.

Cushelle’s Zooper Duper, a shopper campaign that offered daily winners the chance to experience a Zooper Duper VIP trip behind the scenes at a zoo of their choice (you can read more here) took GOLD in the ‘Household’ category and SILVER for ‘Best On-Pack Communication’.

O2’s  The Source, a specialised app specially developed to engage and motivate Carphone Warehouse staff (read more here), bagged SILVER for ‘Most Effective Reward, Recognition or Motivation Programme’ and a BRONZE for ‘Best Use of Technology’.

And finally Tena Treats, an on-pack promotion offering a 1 in 3 chance of winning a ‘Let’s You Be You’ prize (read more here) won BRONZE in the ‘Consumer Products, Health, Beauty and Fashion’ category.

‘We are absolutely delighted with our performance this year,’ says Client Development Director Ian Morgan.  ‘Given the emphasis on effectiveness, something we naturally feel passionately about here at Blue Chip, it’s always a pleasure to see our clients’ campaigns feature heavily at the awards. This year was no exception.’
