We’ve Been Shortlisted for a POPAI Award

Blue Chip continues to innovate in the world of Shopper Marketing, this time earning a POPAI nomination for our work on SCA’s Bodyform brand.

The shortlist was announced yesterday at the POPAI Shopper Seminar in London, marking the 10th year of the awards which celebrate creativity, innovation and best practice in retail marketing.

The nomination is in the ‘Grocery, Convenience & G.M. – Temporary Display’ category, for our work on SCA’s Bodyform brand.

“We were looking for innovative ways of increasing stand-out on-shelf,” says Account Director Jess Harper. “We had an impactful on-pack promotion, but in a fixture not exactly known for its dwell time, we needed to shout as loudly as possible about it.”

The answer was ‘the Stopper’, a bus-stop style sticker attached to the pack, giving full and repeated visibility of the promotion from anywhere in the aisle.

“It’s such a simple idea, but one that effectively disrupts the shopper journey in a way that’s never been done before” she continues.

Clearly POPAI agree, including the print innovation in an award category traditionally dominated by FSDU units.

Time will tell if it beats off the competition to claim the prize, with the winners being announced at the POPAI Awards Ceremony at the Lancaster London Hotel on Tuesday 4th October.
