Time for a Brand New Dawn at Blue Chip

15th May 2017

Blue Chip continues to expand its account handling team with the appointment of Dawn Hulley, a hugely experienced Senior Account Director who has recently relocated to Manchester.

Dawn joins the Blue Chip fold following 8 years at Multiply, an Edinburgh-based integrated agency where she worked on a wide range of high-profile through-the-line campaigns for a host of leading brands.

Her most recent experience saw her heading up the Kimberly Clark account, spearheading hundreds of projects for Huggies that ranged from £1m+ European integrated campaigns right through to fast turnaround digital and shopper marketing initiatives for the UK.

Prior to taking the reins on Kimberly Clark, she headed up Multiply’s work for alcohol distributor Maxxium UK, creating and executing activation campaigns for brands like The Famous Grouse, After Shock, Stolichnaya and Jim Beam. Working across both the on and off trade, Dawn led the agency team on product launches, digital content development and even created a brand film that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival 2012.

She even managed to squeeze in a stint on Highland Spring, creating a host of on-pack and shopper promotions, some of which involved working closely with World Tennis No.1 Andy Murray.

Blue Chip were lucky enough to snap her up when she decided to relocate to her home town of Manchester, some 20 years after leaving for University.

“With such a brilliant reputation and history of award-winning work, I’d pinpointed Blue Chip as the agency I wanted to work for as soon as I knew I was going to return home,” she says. “Annoyingly they didn’t have a position available for me, but thanks to a number of new business opportunities now cooking in the agency, I finally got my chance to become a Chipper!”

Ian Morgan, Client Development Director, is equally happy to have her on board.

“With Dawn’s references and brilliant track record, we knew she’d make an excellent addition to the Blue Chip team. She now has a clear mandate for growing our fledgling accounts, a challenge I know she will rise to with the same zeal and enthusiasm she demonstrated during the recruitment process.’

As well as getting to grips with her new role, Dawn is also currently busy planning her impending wedding and re-discovering the joys of Manchester. We wish her luck on all counts.
