Blue Chip Helps Turn Red Nose Day Golden For Comic Relief
When the team at Comic Relief were looking to surprise and delight purchasers of Red Noses, they asked Blue Chip to help develop Red Nose Day’s first ever consumer promotion.
Together we developed the really very special Golden Nose promotion, giving the chance to instantly win an extraordinary once-in-a-lifetime experience.
12 Golden Noses have been hidden across the country, nine across Sainsbury’s, one in Oxfam stores, one in the Red Nose Day online shop and one in the School Deposit Scheme.
Find one before midday on the 11th March and winners could become the most special of guests on Red Nose Day, meeting celebrities, stopping off at Dermot’s Day of Dance for Comic Relief, seeing their name in lights at the BT Tower and enjoying the full-blown celebrity treatment at the London Palladium for the greatest night of entertainment Comic Relief have ever put on.
Anyone finding their Golden Nose after the 11th March will become a VIP guest at Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, going backstage to meet the cast and more.
Given the importance of the day and the partners involved, the need for promotional integrity was paramount. Blue Chip provided guidance from the outset, helping to shape the promotion to meet strict guidelines and maximise its effects.
“The Blue Chip team in London have provided invaluable support and expertise to help us bring our first ever promotion to life,” said Claire Pilcher, Head of Marketing at Comic Relief.
Group Account Director Myrtle Doyle added: “This has been one of our most rewarding projects ever. Not only will the winners have the experience of their lives, but we also get to contribute to something truly meaningful. Our London and Manchester offices will be toasting the campaign with a cup of tea and charity bake sale on the 13th!”
To be in with a chance of winning, don’t forget to buy your Red Nose this week. Each nose costs £1 with at least 60p going to Comic Relief to help people living really tough lives in the UK and across Africa.
